{Now, we skip to Saturday. It is Valentine's Day, and the three couples' [technically four...] last day in Paris. they go to a cafe for dinner. Cat sits between Nick and Joe. Under the table, she's holding Joe's hand.} VAL: Gosh, I wish this vacation could go on longer! I'll miss France! NICK: Ugh. I won't. CAT: Why not? NICK: I can't understand any of the language. CAT: Other than ordering food and knowing that you and I are a cute couple. (She kisses his cheek. Joe squeezes her hand. Cat looks at him with a "What?" look on her face.) AUDRINA: I think it's romantic. KEVIN: Definitely. And not a bad place to get engaged, either. (They look at the ring.) JOE: It has been really fun. NICK: Yeah. And the song Cat wrote me was really good. CAT: Aw! Thanks, honey. It took me a while. I hope Bob lets me record it! KEVIN: If he doesn't, he's crazy. It's fan-freaking-tastic. VAL: Oh, my God, Kevin. If you weren't engaged to Audrina, I'd swear you're gay. AUDRINA: Val! Don't call my fiancee gay! JOE: CHICK FIGHT! BRING ON THE PILLOWS! CAT: You're so queer. VAL: Now MY boyfriend's gay??? NICK/KEVIN: Duh. NICK: You're just now figuring this out. (Joe gives Nick the evil-eye.) CAT: Okay, boys. Break it up. We don't want a food fight. My hair is actually perfect tonight. (Everyone laughs at her.) -Okay. You get the gist. There was a bunch of talking and kissing on the Valentine's Day... Now, it's Monday. Cat is home from after school, doing all her make-up work. A knock comes on her door; she looks up- CAT: Joe! (She runs to him and hugs him.) JOE: Hey. What's up? CAT: (gestures to the pile of books on her bed.) The wonderful world of make-up work. What are you doing here? JOE: I've come to rescue you. CAT: Hmm...I'd love to come with, but I'm not even half-way done. JOE: You don't even have to worry about it. I'm taking you to Bob's office. After the next week, you won't have to worry about that school. CAT: Seriously? I'm finally recording after a month?? Sweet! JOE: Yep. No need to thank me. I made a few calls, and no one says no to Joe Jonas. CAT: I attest. (She kisses him.) Nick doesn't know about us, does he? JOE: Hakuna Matata, Cat. He doesn't even know I'm over here. Let's go get a cab. -At Bob Corrigan's studio. Cat is in the booth, working on the song she wrote in Paris- CAT *singing*: The lights are shining all around. You're by my side. Everything's right, baby. All I need is--whoa-oh--you... (The music stops. She looks at Bob.) *speaking* Alright. How was it? BOB: That was great! We might be done with the song by this session. CAT: Sweet. Wanna run through it one more time? BOB: Yep. CAT: Okay. Hit it, then. (Bob starts the music. She sings again.) Don't even worry about your other plans. You and me are the only ones tonight. This time is different. This time is good. I think it's time to show the world what you mean to me. The lights are shining all around. You're by my side. Everything's right, baby. All I need is you. I can't believe what we've gone through together. Baby, it's true that you are the only one for me. Can't you see that I love you?...(And so on. For a while.) -Back at Cat's apartment, her parents are gone, so Joe stays around for a while. They sit on the couch- JOE: You were great at the studio. CAT: Thanks. I try. JOE: You're great at other things too. CAT: Oh, yeah? Like what? JOE: Playing the piano. CAT: Oooh. Musically, yeah. JOE: I'm just kidding. (He puts his arm around her and kisses her. She moves onto his lap and puts her tongue in his mouth. She pulls away.) CAT: Jesus! Your mouth is cold. Did you chew gum or something? JOE: Oh. Yeah. Sorry about that. CAT: It's okay. It just took me by surprise. (She leans back in for more.) --- {BAD CAT! VERY BAD KITTY! HOW DARE YOU!}
